Sundays, in the past, have had the heinous reputation of being the dreaded day which you use to ready yourself for the Monday sludge- the workday, the school day, and overall, the first day of the week. But, as our last few newsletters reminded us, they can also be about self-care, fun, relaxation, and improvement! You can really dedicate a whole Sunday to doin nothing and call it a ‘Healing Sunday’ and no one would question you.
So, in the spirit of nostalgia and lookin back, this Sunday is all about our childhood past. The weekend when we were kids meant Saturday cartoons, snacks, playing games, and relaxing. The adult version of that is Netflix binges, ice cream and cheese cakes, and gently knocking yourself out with a decent wine. To fully immerse yourself in our adult version of Nostalgic Weekends, a few things are needed: A binge-worthy tv show, or set of movies. A snack area with both charcuterie and sweets of choice. And a cocktail/wine/spritzer situation that is a treat and a stimulant! Now, I’ll round up some of our faves below to give you a headstart into the days of yore…

Book of the Week: The Luxe - Anna Godbersen
Set in the glamorous gilded age of New York’s elite, the Luxe follows the story of the wealthy families of New York, their trials, tribulations. Whether it’s securing the most sought after betrothal, conquering new social heights, or navigating the murky waters of young adulthood, this book has it all. As the last surviving families of the old guard, the daughters and sons must do everything in their power to maintain a social hierarchy placed upon them by their ancestors, and do everything in their power to reject the changing world.
