The Antidote - Your Weekly Remedy
As the sweat trickles down your temple and you attempt to look glossy rather than a sweaty hog, you realize one thing: weekend’s are not about regret. They are about moving onwards and upwards; growth; you and your higher self! And you’ll keep telling yourself that as many times as you have to whilst inhaling the tequila soaked craters you call pores.
If you were fortunate enough to not have a run in with an ex-boyfriend, and blessed even more so to not greet his new girlfriend in a display best described as ‘wildly manic’, then congratulations. Perhaps this Sunday’s magnum opus is not for you. As for the rest of us mere mortals, we must plow on. And plow on we will, with healthy skin, a clear mind, and brighter spirits! This week’s antidote focuses all on the inner body. Utilizing the masks and tips we’ve provided from the past few weeks, in tandem with a healthy self-care routine, no amount of public humiliation will tear you down!
Choose something that centers you: whether it be yoga, taking a long, warm bath, watching a Youtube tutorial, or anything else entirely, just focus your mind on one thing and let yourself be still to enjoy that moment. Find the appreciation in the smaller things. Start by doing that one or twice a week, increasing in frequency to train your mind to learn to be still. That will in turn enable you to program yourself away from neggy thoughts (heres looking at you, sambuca) to positive thoughts!

Kylie Flavell’s youtube channel is an aesthetic delight. Makes me close my eyes and wish I was waking up in Tuscany. This meditation video she made is the morning shot of serotonin we all need.
A walk in the park blasting your fave oldies, as you frolic dramatically through your own personal 90’s esque music video. Theatrics mean business! And calm.
Reruns of an old TV show that immediately transport you back to the age/time/place you first discovered it! And I DO mean The OC, Friends, The Office, and Gilmore Girls. If Lorelai can’t soothe you, I will personally atone.
Go thoroughly through a long step skin-care routine, as that requires you to focus on perfecting your outer appearance thereby pausing your roaming thoughts from any errant memories.
